Busy Weekend

We had such a busy weekend!  Almost nothing got done at the house, which isn't good since Squishy's first birthday is in less than 2 months, but we had fun nonetheless.

On Saturday I had my first ever vendor event as an Independent Scentsy Consultant.  I only found out about it a week beforehand so I had almost no stock on hand and all I knew was that it was going to be at a storage unit place.

Turns out it was in this funky grassy lot in front of the house that goes with the storage place.  Really weird.  There were probably about 10 vendors and I'm super proud to say that I probably sold close to the best.  People were loving the buddies (one of my favorite products).  I love them because I can put the scent that I'm warming at home into Squishy's buddy and it can remind her of home.   I also sold some wax and some scent circles for peoples cars.  They're hoping to make it a monthly thing and we have a planning meeting for the next one to try to figure out how to get more people to stop by.

Saturday evening was pretty easy, as was Sunday morning.

Sunday morning we added to our family.  In March our local feed store does an event called "Chick Days'.  On that day they start selling chicks, ducks, turkeys, and geese for the season.  There is a whole room with tons of different kinds.

And we bought 4 chicks for Squishy.  Bringing our grand total of animals at our house to 17!  I swear it doesn't seem like that much and I promise we aren't hoarders.  We now have 3 dogs, 4 fish, 6 regular hens, and 4 bantam chicks.

Bantams are smaller than regular chickens by a good amount.  Now we just need to hope they are either all girls or three girls with only one rooster.  I can't have any more than one rooster.  We'll just have to wait and see.  Our other batches have all been girls but we've been lucky.  I've joked that these ones will all be roosters with our luck.

Since they are Squishy's they all have Disney princess names.   They black one is Belle, the gray one is Tiana, the yellow one is Snow White, and the red one is Merida.

The red one is supposed to look like this someday!!!  It's called a red frizzle.
Our yellow one should look likes this.
I'm not sure what our gray one or black one will look like yet as I forget their breeds.  But the black one does have fluffy feet like the frizzle!
